Set in ideal conditions at Warilla Bowls Club, Woonona #5s started off with a flurry against Oak Flats ahead 10/1 after the first board changed at 3 ends. Neville Bywaters rink reached 18 shots up before relinquishing a shot to their opponents. Woonona where never behind, holding a commanding lead most of the game until the 60th end when there was only one shot difference. Woonona Team held their nerve to win 45/42.
