Notice to Members
Proposed Monday 18th October! Time TBA
We hope you’re all keeping safe and well.
Woonona Bowling and Recreation Club are excited to advise that after 11 weeks of lockdown the NSW Government finally unveiled its roadmap to reopening.
It is anticipated that we will be allowed to open our doors sometime in mid-October which is still some weeks away. What this means for the Club, is that we will have had our doors closed again for an extended period of time. It is with anticipation that we all look forward to getting back to work and start to feel some kind of normality again and engage with our members and the community.
From what we know so far based on the advice provided by the NSW Government and NSW Health is that certain freedoms will only apply to those in our community that are fully vaccinated.
In preparation for reopening we want to advise everyone that the Club intends to comply with whatever laws, health orders and conditions the NSW Government imposes. This will mean that all members, guests, visitors, staff, management and contractors will all need to have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccination and be able to provide proof of vaccination before being allowed to enter the Club.
For members who are unable to download Vaccination Record please call 1800 653 809 to obtain paper based record. This procedure can however take upto 14 days to process.
In addition to the vaccination requirement the Club will have density restrictions imposed.(One person per 4sqm inside, while 1 person per 2sqm outside.)
Standing and Drinking will be permitted outside. You must remain seated inside. These restrictions are not new to us as we have been dealing with them on and off for the past 18 months since the pandemic began so we will be prepared.

Club management is developing our reopening plan and looking forward to being able to provide as many of our usual offerings as we can leading up to the festive season and into the new year. We will keep you updated on all developments in the weeks ahead.
On behalf of the Board, management and staff, we ask for your understanding and patience during the weeks and months after reopening while we adjust to life under the new restrictions imposed on us.
We can’t wait to welcome you back and encourage you all to get fully vaccinated as soon as possible so we can reach that 70% target sooner so we can all enjoy our Club and the freedoms!
