The first event we had was the Club 2-bowl Triples Championship. The winners were Bev Dumbleton, Elaine Rowe & Robin Humphries, who had a close game against Linda Schmidt, Minnie Johnston, and Vicki Bott with the score 25/23.
The Anderson Irvine was played on the 22nd July, where we had four (4) of our ladies representing our club. They were Vicki Bott, Gail Banks, Sharon Dumbleton and Michelle Fellows. They were very lucky to get the game played what with the weather the way it was, but Illawarra ended up having a draw with South Coast of 129 each then they had to have a count back on ends which gave Illawarra 73 ends to South Coast 71, so Illawarra won 3 rinks to 1 draw.

Remembrance Day which was originally down to be played in June was played on Tuesday 4th October. A long time coming. The winners were: Lorraine Rodgers, Helen Pittman & Linda Adams, runners up were, Sandra Connor, Wendy Carpenter, Jeune Long & Alice Murrell.

Pennants has been very successful this year, what with our No2’s being promoted into the 1’s and holding their own throughout the competition and coming in second. Congratulations ladies on a job well done.

As for the 4’s. they haven’t lost a game all season, then on the last game they had a very close tussle with Towradgi Park to finish off the season, with Woonona winning 5-0, which keeps us on top of the ladder and with 2 and half games still in hand, so with Warilla defeating Towradgi Park last Thursday (they played indoors) 5-0 that means the Grade 4 Section 2 won their section. Congratulations ladies, fantastic news. Now they have to play Thirroul (Red) team from Grade 4 Section 1 to finish off the season on October 11th. The teams are Linda Schmidt, Minnie Johnston, Judy Dyson and Di Tully, also Lyn Ridgway Jeune Long, Angela Gibson and Joanne Canvin.
